Who We Are

A Foundation Built on Purpose

The Moyanet Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing orthopaedic medicine through research, education, and humanitarian service. We believe access to quality musculoskeletal care is a human right, not a privilege.

We pursue this mission on two fronts: nurturing tomorrow's orthopaedic leaders through medical student research support, and delivering hands-on orthopaedic resources to communities in the developing world where such care is scarce.

Founded by a family of orthopaedic professionals with firsthand experience of global health disparities, we combine scientific rigor with compassionate service to create lasting change.

Our Story

A Family Mission

The Moyanet Foundation was born from a shared family commitment to orthopaedic medicine and humanitarian service. Spanning generations of physicians, the Moya family has witnessed firsthand the profound impact that access — or lack of access — to surgical care has on communities.

What began as conversations around the dinner table has grown into a foundation working to ensure that quality orthopaedic care reaches those who need it most, while also supporting the next generation of researchers and surgeons who will carry this work forward.

Every donation, every research grant, and every piece of equipment we deliver represents a step toward a world where orthopaedic excellence has no borders.

What We Do

Our Focus Areas

Orthopaedic Research Support

We fund and mentor medical students pursuing research in orthopaedic surgery, accelerating discoveries that improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Global Resource Delivery

We provide orthopaedic equipment, surgical tables, and specialized supplies to hospitals and clinics in underdeveloped regions where musculoskeletal care is critically limited.

Education & Training

Through workshops, fellowships, and education programs, we will build local surgical capacity in partner countries — creating sustainable orthopaedic care from within communities.
